Ms. Antikarov has played leadership roles on a range of high-profile and challenging projects in urban environments, such as the post 9/11 redevelopment of the World Trade Center & Lower Manhattan & the Big Dig/Central Artery Corridor in downtown Boston, among other downtowns, waterfronts, and neighborhoods in cities like New York, Boston, Cambridge, Chelsea, and others in the US, Europe & Asia. A notable trademark of her multi-dimensional expertise in large-scale, complex urban projects is the consistent employment of a strategic, holistic, multi-disciplinary & consensus-building approach to city-making, leading to better conceived & coordinated efforts
Major Professional Experience Prior to founding UrbanVision consulting, Ms. Antikarov served as Vice President of HOK Planning Group in New York & as Director of Planning for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation. In that capacity, she oversaw master planning activities at Ground Zero, as well as other related planning, re/development and revitalization projects in Lower Manhattan as part of multi-faceted collaboration efforts with City and State agencies, key stakeholders, community leaders, and the public at large.
Previously, Ms. Antikarov served as Director of Urban Design and Development for A Better City in Boston, working on the Central Artery Corridor surface restoration planning and design, and other large-scale development projects city-wide, in close collaboration with the City, State, key stakeholders, and community representatives
Ms. Antikarov has also held senior planning/urban design positions with FXFowle in NYC, SEA Consultants in Cambridge, and Chelsea Planning/Development Department in the Boston metro-area, where she managed urban planning, re/development, and capital projects, including large-scale master plans for key mixed-use developments, planning studies and capital improvement documents, public buildings and outdoor recreation facilities, streetscape enhancements, open space acquisition, planning, design, and implementation efforts.
